Hey everyone!
I've been lurking in this forum for quite a while now, and I must say—back in the day, this place was full of inspiring Follow Along threads that motivated me to dive deeper into affiliate marketing. Lately, though, I’ve noticed those journeys are becoming rare. So, I’ve decided to bring that spirit back by starting my own follow-along: Facebook Ads + CPA Offers.
The goal is simple—test, learn, share everything transparently, and hopefully hit some profitable campaigns along the way. Whether I fail or succeed, I’ll document the full process so others can learn too.
I’m focusing on running Facebook Ads to promote CPA offers (specifically conversion-based offers). I’m currently using a basic landing page as the bridge between the ad and the offer page. My initial objective is conversions, and I’ve chosen a niche I believe has high intent and decent payout, but I won’t go into offer specifics just yet—let’s see how the initial tests go.
I’ll be updating the thread daily or every few days, depending on the campaign activity and data.
Yes, you read that right. Facebook couldn’t track the conversion because I didn’t set up the pixel properly on the offer side. That means my optimization is off from the start. Still, it’s encouraging to see that one sale came through—even with a landing page I’m not too proud of.
Lessons learned:
Not great. Despite more traffic, no sales came in today. It’s clear the landing page is the weak link here. Out of 170 clicks, only 45 continued to the offer page—so about 26.5% click-through rate from LP to offer, which isn't ideal for this vertical.
I’m currently analyzing:
Also worth mentioning—my ad CTR on Facebook is decent, but if users don’t move forward after the landing page, the leak is there. It’s time to plug it.
If you’ve had success with Facebook + CPA offers, I’d love to hear from you:
I'm staying motivated and treating this as a learning process. I plan to test new creatives, tweak the landing page, and possibly A/B test different offers. Let’s see how this evolves over the next few days.
More updates coming soon!

The Setup
I’m focusing on running Facebook Ads to promote CPA offers (specifically conversion-based offers). I’m currently using a basic landing page as the bridge between the ad and the offer page. My initial objective is conversions, and I’ve chosen a niche I believe has high intent and decent payout, but I won’t go into offer specifics just yet—let’s see how the initial tests go.

Day 1: Launch Day — Small Win + Rookie Mistake
- Campaign Objective: Conversions
- Budget: $25
- Landing Page: Quick and basic, not optimized
- Clicks to LP: 98
- Clicks to Offer Page: ~30
- Conversions: 1
- Revenue: $28
- Profit: $3
- Mistake: I forgot to place the affiliate network pixel
Yes, you read that right. Facebook couldn’t track the conversion because I didn’t set up the pixel properly on the offer side. That means my optimization is off from the start. Still, it’s encouraging to see that one sale came through—even with a landing page I’m not too proud of.
Lessons learned:
- Always double-check tracking before launching.
- A win is a win—$3 profit is better than a loss on the first day.
- My CTR from the landing page to the offer page is quite low. Optimization needed.
Day 2: No Sales, Slower Day
- Spend: $39
- Landing Page Clicks: 170
- Clicks to Offer Page: 45
- Conversions: 0
- Revenue: $0
- Profit: -$39
Not great. Despite more traffic, no sales came in today. It’s clear the landing page is the weak link here. Out of 170 clicks, only 45 continued to the offer page—so about 26.5% click-through rate from LP to offer, which isn't ideal for this vertical.
I’m currently analyzing:
- Is the CTA not compelling enough?
- Is the landing page copy misaligned with the ad?
- Could I try a simpler, cleaner version or go straight to the offer?
Also worth mentioning—my ad CTR on Facebook is decent, but if users don’t move forward after the landing page, the leak is there. It’s time to plug it.
Open to Suggestions!
If you’ve had success with Facebook + CPA offers, I’d love to hear from you:
- What kind of landing pages have worked best for you?
- Do you prefer pre-sell or direct linking?
- What’s your process for improving LP-to-offer conversion rates?
I'm staying motivated and treating this as a learning process. I plan to test new creatives, tweak the landing page, and possibly A/B test different offers. Let’s see how this evolves over the next few days.
