Keeping inactive subscribers on your list for too long can reduce your email performance. If too many people on your list stop opening or clicking your emails, it sends a signal to email providers that your messages are not wanted. This can make them push your emails to the spam folder or block them completely, even for people who want to receive them. That’s bad news for affiliate marketers trying to earn from email promotions.
Removing inactive subscribers can help improve your open rate, click rate, and sender reputation. Before removing anyone, you can try sending re-engagement emails to see if they still want to hear from you. If they don’t respond after a few attempts, it may be time to take them off. A smaller but active list often performs better than a large one with many inactive emails. What kind of approach would you take with contacts who don’t open your emails anymore?
