Splash pages often fail to contribute effectively to the SEO of an affiliate page because they are typically designed as gateways rather than content-rich pages. These pages usually contain minimal text, heavy use of images or videos, and sometimes scripts that hinder search engines from crawling and indexing meaningful content. Since SEO relies on relevant, keyword-rich text and proper site structure, splash pages offer little to no valuable content for search engines to rank. Additionally, splash pages may cause slower load times, negatively impacting user experience and search rankings. They often lack internal links to other parts of the site, reducing crawlability.
