Are text-only native ads still effective in native ads?

I've been curious about text-only native ads lately. They seem so simple compared to image or video ads.

I've run a few campaigns using just text headlines and short descriptions to see how they perform.

Some of my text-only ads got decent clicks, but the overall conversions weren't as strong as I hoped.

I also tried mixing in a few emojis and different wording styles, but results stayed mixed. It feels like there's more to learn here.

Are text-only native ads still effective in 2025? I'd love to hear what others have experienced.
