Hey everyone,
Back in March, I got laid off from my job. Instead of just waiting around for things to get better, I decided to use the time to learn a new skill. I’ve been taking courses on affiliate marketing, and now it’s time to put that knowledge into practice.
My goal:
I’m working with a platform that’s like a niche Fiverr, but focused purely on marketing services. They offer both an affiliate program (10% commission) and a reseller program (20% commission). I chose the reseller program so I can build my own website, brand, and email list for the long term.
Started mid-March and here’s my initial setup:
After just over a month, I’ve already made $3,000+ in revenue.
Now that the site is live and working, it’s time to scale:
I haven’t decided where to run ads yet — Facebook, Google, native ads, or somewhere else.
I’d love to hear your thoughts on the best ad platforms to test first for this type of offer. Also, if you see any gaps in my plan, I’m open to suggestions.
This is just the beginning. I’ll keep updating this thread with results, experiments, and lessons learned as I go along.
Back in March, I got laid off from my job. Instead of just waiting around for things to get better, I decided to use the time to learn a new skill. I’ve been taking courses on affiliate marketing, and now it’s time to put that knowledge into practice.
My goal:
- Phase 1: Hit $5,000 net profit/month within 6 months.
- Phase 2: Push for $10,000/month after that.
- If I fail, at least I’ll have gained experience — and hopefully by then, the job market will be better.
What I’m Selling
I’m working with a platform that’s like a niche Fiverr, but focused purely on marketing services. They offer both an affiliate program (10% commission) and a reseller program (20% commission). I chose the reseller program so I can build my own website, brand, and email list for the long term.
What I’ve Done So Far
Started mid-March and here’s my initial setup:
- Paid for reseller program credits – $800
- Bought a domain – $10
- Hired someone on Fiverr to set up WordPress – $20
- Imported all services using their plugin – Free
- Bought a copywriting template – $20
- Ordered some SEO packages (mostly backlinks) – $100
- Shared my site in a few Facebook groups – Free
After just over a month, I’ve already made $3,000+ in revenue.
Next Steps
Now that the site is live and working, it’s time to scale:
- Set up an email drip campaign (likely using Aweber).
- Start running ads.
I haven’t decided where to run ads yet — Facebook, Google, native ads, or somewhere else.
