Hey everyone,
Back again with my second journey thread! My first one — the Mobile Journey — is still running, but I wanted to try something different on the side. This time, I’m diving into Facebook Ads to promote the Jumia affiliate program.
Why Jumia? Simple:
The goal is to send targeted Facebook traffic directly to Jumia’s product pages using my affiliate links. For now, I’m focusing on African countries where Jumia operates and “Pay on Delivery” is available.
Facebook is my choice because it’s still one of the most active platforms here, with great targeting options. My hope is that a trusted brand + precise targeting = sales.
Campaigns are live and running. Results so far:
Not surprised, honestly. The first round is always about collecting data, figuring out what works, and cutting what doesn’t. I’m watching CTRs, engagement, and seeing how people respond to different ads.
Here’s what’s on my to-do list for the next phase:
This is just the start. Right now, the goal is to learn and gather enough data to make smart decisions. I’ll keep updating this thread with results, changes, and lessons learned.
Let’s see how far this Facebook Ads + Jumia combo can go.
Stay tuned — next update coming after the next round of tests!
Back again with my second journey thread! My first one — the Mobile Journey — is still running, but I wanted to try something different on the side. This time, I’m diving into Facebook Ads to promote the Jumia affiliate program.
Why Jumia? Simple:
- Pay on Delivery – This is huge for the African market. A lot of people still prefer paying when the product arrives, so it removes a big barrier.
- Well-Known Brand – Jumia already has trust in many African countries. I’m not selling something no one’s heard of — I’m tapping into an existing brand.
- Huge Product Range – From electronics to fashion, Jumia has everything. This gives me room to test different products and find what converts best.
The Plan

First Launch
Campaigns are live and running. Results so far:
- A few clicks
- No commissions yet

Next Moves
Here’s what’s on my to-do list for the next phase:
- Test Creatives – Try single images, carousels, and short videos to see what gets the most clicks.
- Switch Products – Test different categories on Jumia to spot high-converting offers.
- Adjust Budget – Increase spend on ads with good engagement, kill the losers fast.
- Maybe Add Pre-Lander – Thinking about testing a warm-up page before sending people to Jumia.
Final Thoughts (for Now)
