Hey everyone,
This is my very first proper dive into the world of affiliate marketing, and I’ve decided to document my journey here so I can keep track of my progress, learn from mistakes, and hopefully get some tips along the way from more experienced members. My goal is clear: reach $100 profit per day consistently. I know it won’t be easy, but I’m ready to put in the work, test different strategies, and keep pushing forward until I get there.
I officially began experimenting with campaigns just two days ago. Like many beginners, I jumped in with excitement, set up my first test campaigns, and… reality hit me fast. The results were terrible. No conversions, low engagement, and definitely no profit. It was a bit of a wake-up call, but I expected that the learning curve would be steep.
Instead of getting discouraged, I took a step back, analyzed what I had done, and decided it was time to change my approach.
For now, here’s what I’m working with:
I chose CPL offers because they’re beginner-friendly — the user doesn’t have to buy anything for me to earn, they just need to complete a simple action. My target GEO is Turkey because the traffic costs are relatively affordable compared to Tier 1 countries, which means I can run more tests without burning through my budget too quickly.
One of the first things I realized from my failed tests was that my creatives were not attracting enough clicks. I designed a new banner that was more visually appealing and relevant to the offer. This change had an immediate impact — my click-through rate went up noticeably.
However, this created a new problem: even though more people were clicking, I still wasn’t seeing any conversions. Clearly, something in my funnel or targeting wasn’t resonating with the audience enough to make them take the final step.
Here’s how I plan to move forward from here:
I know I’m starting from scratch with little experience, but I believe documenting the process will help me stay disciplined. Plus, it’s a great way to get feedback from people who’ve been in the same spot before. My updates will include daily or weekly breakdowns of spend, clicks, conversions, and profit (or losses), as well as the changes I’m making to improve performance.
This journey isn’t just about making some quick cash. My real aim is to learn how to run profitable affiliate campaigns consistently. Once I hit the $100/day profit mark, I plan to scale my campaigns further and explore new niches and GEOs.
For now, I’m in the testing phase — gathering data, making adjustments, and building the foundation for success. I know there will be setbacks, but I’m committed to pushing through until I see those green numbers every day.
Stay tuned for my next update where I’ll share how the latest changes impact my results.
The Starting Point
I officially began experimenting with campaigns just two days ago. Like many beginners, I jumped in with excitement, set up my first test campaigns, and… reality hit me fast. The results were terrible. No conversions, low engagement, and definitely no profit. It was a bit of a wake-up call, but I expected that the learning curve would be steep.
Instead of getting discouraged, I took a step back, analyzed what I had done, and decided it was time to change my approach.
Current Setup
For now, here’s what I’m working with:
- Affiliate Network: CrakRevenue (CPL offers)
- Traffic Source: TrafficStars
- GEO: Turkey
I chose CPL offers because they’re beginner-friendly — the user doesn’t have to buy anything for me to earn, they just need to complete a simple action. My target GEO is Turkey because the traffic costs are relatively affordable compared to Tier 1 countries, which means I can run more tests without burning through my budget too quickly.
First Adjustments – Banner Changes
One of the first things I realized from my failed tests was that my creatives were not attracting enough clicks. I designed a new banner that was more visually appealing and relevant to the offer. This change had an immediate impact — my click-through rate went up noticeably.
However, this created a new problem: even though more people were clicking, I still wasn’t seeing any conversions. Clearly, something in my funnel or targeting wasn’t resonating with the audience enough to make them take the final step.
The Plan Moving Forward
Here’s how I plan to move forward from here:
- Optimize Targeting – I’ll test different ad placements, devices, and time slots to see if conversions improve. I suspect my ads might be showing to too broad an audience.
- Landing Page Tweaks – I might test alternative landing pages to see if they can do a better job of convincing visitors to convert.
- A/B Testing Creatives – I’ll create a few different banner variations to find a winner rather than relying on just one.
- Analyze Offer Fit – If conversions remain at zero, I may test a different CPL offer more aligned with the traffic I’m getting.
Why I’m Documenting This
I know I’m starting from scratch with little experience, but I believe documenting the process will help me stay disciplined. Plus, it’s a great way to get feedback from people who’ve been in the same spot before. My updates will include daily or weekly breakdowns of spend, clicks, conversions, and profit (or losses), as well as the changes I’m making to improve performance.
The End Goal
This journey isn’t just about making some quick cash. My real aim is to learn how to run profitable affiliate campaigns consistently. Once I hit the $100/day profit mark, I plan to scale my campaigns further and explore new niches and GEOs.
For now, I’m in the testing phase — gathering data, making adjustments, and building the foundation for success. I know there will be setbacks, but I’m committed to pushing through until I see those green numbers every day.
