Hey everyone,


Starting this thread to share my latest affiliate marketing test and hopefully get some insights from the community along the way. This time, I’m running traffic through EZmob to promote a Peerfly offer — specifically, a Flash Player offer — and tracking everything in Bemob.

The Setup​


Here’s the stack I’m using for this test:


  • Offer: Peerfly Flash Player
  • Tracking Tool: Bemob
  • Traffic Source: EZmob (Pop traffic)

I launched the campaign yesterday and started driving traffic right away. The idea is to see if EZmob’s pop inventory can convert this offer, while keeping costs under control and learning more about their traffic quality.


First Round of Data (EZmob Dashboard)​


When I checked my EZmob dashboard, something caught my attention immediately. The reported CTR was 102.9% — which obviously doesn’t make sense for most traffic types. I reached out to my AM, and they explained that for pop traffic, impressions = clicks.


That’s fair enough in principle, but here’s the part I’m still scratching my head about:


  • One of my sub IDs showed 12,669 impressions but only 4 clicks recorded.
  • Those 4 clicks ended up costing me $13.17.

For pop traffic, this CPC is way higher than I was expecting, so I need to figure out if it’s a targeting, bidding, or reporting issue.


Bemob Tracking Results​


On the Bemob side, the numbers tell a slightly different story. Overnight, I spent $69 and got 117 clicks in total. The problem? 0 conversions so far.


With no conversions and costs adding up quickly, this is already raising a red flag. I’ve also had someone warn me that EZmob might send poor or fraudulent traffic, but I’m not jumping to conclusions yet. I want to do my own tests and verify before making any calls.


My Current Thoughts​


Right now, the data looks concerning:


  • CTR doesn’t match expectations.
  • Cost per click for pop traffic is unusually high.
  • No conversions despite over 100 clicks.

It’s possible the offer itself isn’t well-suited for the traffic, or maybe my targeting is too broad. There’s also the possibility of bot traffic or low-quality sources mixed in.

Next Steps​


Here’s my plan moving forward:


  1. Check Targeting – Narrow down GEOs and devices to see if performance improves.
  2. Lower Bids – See if I can bring CPC down to a more reasonable level for pop traffic.
  3. Test Another Offer – If this Peerfly offer doesn’t convert soon, I’ll swap it out for something that might be a better fit.
  4. Track Sub IDs Closely – Identify which placements are costing the most without producing results, and block them.
  5. Run a Shorter Test – Limit budget until I see signs of potential.

Final Word (for This Update)​


This is just the first round of testing, so I’m not ready to label EZmob as “bad traffic” yet. However, the early signs aren’t encouraging. My goal is to give this campaign a fair chance, make a few optimizations, and see if I can pull something positive out of it.


I’ll keep posting updates here as I make changes and track results. Let’s see if I can turn this around — or if it’s time to cut losses and move on to another traffic source.
