Hey everyone,
I’ve already introduced myself in the forum, but I wanted to start a proper Follow Along to document my journey into affiliate marketing. This will be my space to share updates, results, lessons, and hopefully a few big wins along the way.
I’m a 29-year-old from South Africa. Back in 2016, I left my comfortable 9–5 job to dive into the online world. I started an Amazon Kindle Publishing business and worked hard to automate it—outsourcing writing, cover design, and formatting, while Amazon handled the selling.
That business gave me the freedom to explore new opportunities. Now, I’ve set my sights on becoming a super affiliate.
I’ve invested in learning the craft properly and have either completed or am working through:
I know courses won’t make me money on their own, so my focus is on implementing and testing as quickly as possible.
This goal is big enough to push me out of my comfort zone but realistic if I stay consistent and keep learning.
This is a real business for me, not a side hustle. I’m prepared for campaigns that flop, ad sets that burn cash, and strategies that don’t work the first time. But every failure is just more data to improve with.
I’ll post regular updates here on tests, results, and adjustments. If you’ve got tips or want to follow along with someone starting fresh, stick around—things are about to get interesting.
Here’s to the grind and the wins ahead.
I’ve already introduced myself in the forum, but I wanted to start a proper Follow Along to document my journey into affiliate marketing. This will be my space to share updates, results, lessons, and hopefully a few big wins along the way.
Background
I’m a 29-year-old from South Africa. Back in 2016, I left my comfortable 9–5 job to dive into the online world. I started an Amazon Kindle Publishing business and worked hard to automate it—outsourcing writing, cover design, and formatting, while Amazon handled the selling.
That business gave me the freedom to explore new opportunities. Now, I’ve set my sights on becoming a super affiliate.
Training & Preparation
I’ve invested in learning the craft properly and have either completed or am working through:
- Profit Engine – Gerry Kramer
- Commission Rocket – Mark Ling
- Affiliate Marketing 2.0 – Charles Ngo (just started)
I know courses won’t make me money on their own, so my focus is on implementing and testing as quickly as possible.
The Goal
- Target: $1,000/day by April 1st
- Traffic Source: Facebook Ads
- Workload: Full-time (40+ hours per week on campaigns)
This goal is big enough to push me out of my comfort zone but realistic if I stay consistent and keep learning.
Game Plan
- Launch and test Facebook campaigns aggressively.
- Focus on quality offers and well-optimized funnels.
- Track every metric to guide optimizations.
- Iterate fast—scale what works, cut what doesn’t.
Why This Follow Along Exists
- Accountability – Posting here keeps me honest with myself and my goals.
- Feedback – I want to hear from others who have been where I am.
- Documentation – I believe in sharing the full process—successes and failures alike.
Mindset Going In
This is a real business for me, not a side hustle.
