Hey everyone,
I’m kicking off this thread to document my brand-new adventure in affiliate marketing. I’m 21 years old, and up until recently, my entrepreneurial life looked very different. I co-owned two hamburger restaurants, and while they were doing well, I felt a strong pull toward a business model that could give me more freedom, flexibility, and scalability. After some thought, I negotiated my share in the burger business, sold it, and freed up $10,000 in capital to invest into my next big chapter.
And here I am. Starting from scratch in the affiliate marketing world.
The main reason I’m diving into affiliate marketing is because of the potential it has to scale without the physical limitations of running a brick-and-mortar business. I’ve always wanted something that could be operated remotely, from anywhere in the world, without worrying about rent, staff scheduling, or delivery trucks. I see affiliate marketing as a skill set that, once mastered, can open doors to multiple income streams and business opportunities.
I’m not here with the expectation of making huge profits overnight. My mindset is focused on learning the ropes first — even if that means starting out with smaller wins — and building a strong foundation for the long term.
For this first stage, I’ve decided to focus on Facebook Ads. My immediate goal is to master this platform since I believe it’s one of the most powerful tools in the paid traffic world. My niche of choice is health and fitness, as I see it as evergreen, with consistent demand and room for creativity.
Here’s where I currently stand:
I view this as a “low-cost” education compared to starting many other businesses. Even if my first campaigns are just break-even or slightly loss-making, the knowledge I’ll gain will be worth far more than the money spent. Once I’ve sharpened my skills, I plan to explore PLR (Private Label Rights) opportunities and potentially start a remote-based company that specializes in this space.
This thread will serve as my personal logbook. I’ll be sharing updates on everything — from campaign setups, results, and lessons learned to the inevitable challenges I’ll face along the way.
I know there will be wins, mistakes, late nights, and “back-to-the-drawing-board” moments. But that’s the point — I want this to be a raw, transparent journey others can learn from (and maybe laugh at, too).
Let’s go!

Why Affiliate Marketing?
The Game Plan
For this first stage, I’ve decided to focus on Facebook Ads. My immediate goal is to master this platform since I believe it’s one of the most powerful tools in the paid traffic world. My niche of choice is health and fitness, as I see it as evergreen, with consistent demand and room for creativity.
Here’s where I currently stand:
- Products Chosen: I’ve already selected three products to test and validate. My approach will be to run campaigns, analyze the data, and double down on whichever product shows the most promise.
- Profile Warming: I’m in the middle of the Facebook profile heating process to make sure my accounts are ready for ad campaigns without triggering unnecessary restrictions.
- Landing Pages: I’m creating capture pages and funnels to drive leads and conversions. For this, I’m using ClickFunnels because it allows me to set up and tweak landing pages quickly without much technical hassle.
- Ad Intelligence: I’ll be using an ad spy tool to research and analyze what’s currently working in my niche. I’m leaning toward platforms like AdHeart or SpyAds but am open to suggestions from the community.
Mindset and Long-Term Vision
I view this as a “low-cost” education compared to starting many other businesses. Even if my first campaigns are just break-even or slightly loss-making, the knowledge I’ll gain will be worth far more than the money spent. Once I’ve sharpened my skills, I plan to explore PLR (Private Label Rights) opportunities and potentially start a remote-based company that specializes in this space.
