When posting affiliate links, it’s important to clearly tell people that you might earn a commission if they buy through your link. This helps keep things honest and also follows legal rules in many places. For example, in the US, the FTC expects you to let your audience know that your link is part of a paid partnership or that you may earn something from it. It doesn’t have to be long or complex. A short sentence like “This is an affiliate link” is enough, as long as it’s clear and easy to see. Hiding the disclosure at the bottom or using vague words can get you into trouble.
