What do I need to know about FTC policies if I’m an influencer and use affiliate links?

If you’re sharing affiliate links as an influencer, the FTC wants you to clearly let people know that you may earn money from them. This includes posts, stories, videos, and even livestreams. The disclosure should be simple and placed in a spot where people can see it without searching. Saying something like “I may earn a commission from this link” near the product or the link is usually enough. It should not be hidden in a group of hashtags or deep in a long caption. If you talk about the product in a video, it’s best to say the disclosure out loud or write it in the video description. What are some good ways to make this clear without making the post look too commercial?
