Why does Bluehost keep redirecting the temporary domain to my domain?

I made the mistake of transferring a domain to Bluehost and using their wordpress integration to create a simple website — in August 2023. Despite multiple hard resets of the name servers, Bluehost keeps defaulting the home directory to the temporary domain they set up during the process. I've called their CS at least 8 times, some claim to fix it — they never do. The temporary domain redirects to my domain, but this will break — and WTF? Last time I called I said I would stay on the phone until they escalated me. Two hours later, the rep said their 'escalation team' was on it and I would get an email update. Someone emailed me that it was fixed… yet the temporary URL is still the default.
