Hey everyone,

I wanted to share a recent test I ran that pulled in $510 in profit using a simple but effective doorway site strategy combined with a dating smartlink. This approach is passive once it’s set up, and with the right method, it can keep generating income for months — sometimes even up to a year.

Why Doorways?

For me, the attraction is in the scalability. If I find a working theme, I can attach 500–1000 additional domains to my dorgen setup and send them for indexing in just a few hours. That means multiplying results quickly.

Another big plus is that this method can be done with very low or even zero costs by leveraging trusted subdomains of popular platforms, forum profiles, blogs, and other people’s sites where you can leave content. That said, the downside is that sometimes Google wipes out everything overnight. It can take weeks of analysis and testing to land on a scheme that sticks — and there’s definitely a lot of routine, manual work involved.

Starting Point

For this case study, I wanted to invest just enough to get solid data without going overboard:

  • Server: A basic $20–30/month cloud server
  • Domains: 100 in total — 50 cheap new registrations and 50 low-quality drops in the cheapest domain zones (no old doorways on them)
  • Dorgen: Either a custom-made one or something fresh and suited to my vision
  • Keywords: Pulled directly from search results, with minimal cleaning

In total, my initial spend was $220.

Testing Phase

Before scaling, I always run small tests to see what kind of content is currently indexing well after Google’s latest clean-ups. This test period lasted about a week. Once I identified the type of content climbing to the top for my chosen keywords, I rolled it out across all 100 domains and started indexing them as fast as possible.

The content targeted the U.S. dating market but also included keywords from other geos that came up during parsing. I didn’t bother removing “junk” keywords — everything I parsed went live. While that lowers conversion rates slightly, it gives me the option to pre-monetize through push notifications.

Monetization Setup

I went with a dating smartlink because it’s flexible, converts across multiple geos, and doesn’t require building my own landing pages or creatives. From day one, all traffic was redirected server-side to the smartlink. No fancy setups — just pure traffic flow to offers.

The beauty of dating is the huge volume of available traffic, including in Tier 3 countries where clicks are dirt cheap but conversions still add up. I found that while U.S. traffic performed as expected, some third-world geos delivered surprisingly solid profits at minimal cost. There’s a lot of untapped potential in those markets.

Results

From the start of December, the doorway grid began producing steady revenue. By the time I hit the $510 mark, the grid was still live and generating clicks. The true lifetime profit is hard to calculate because these sites can keep producing for months without extra work — but the ROI is already strong.

Conclusion

The dating niche is an excellent choice for this method. It’s beginner-friendly, traffic-rich, and highly scalable. Doorways combined with smartlinks let you test fast, scale faster, and keep things relatively hands-off once you’ve found a winning setup.

For me, the key takeaway is that you don’t need huge budgets to make this work — you just need patience for testing, a willingness to dig into less competitive geos, and a system for scaling when you hit gold.
