Before:
I was running a MultiGeo SmartLink in one campaign. Traffic was decent, but:


  • CTR: 1.82%
  • CPA: $2.47 (too high for my goal)
  • ROI: +9% (meh…)

Everything was mixed together — different GEOs, same creatives, same budget. No way to tell what was really driving results.

After:
I split the SmartLink into separate campaigns for each GEO, tracked publisher GEOs individually, and optimized based on performance.

Lesson:
