Hey everyone,
I’m starting this thread to share my journey as I work on scaling a Military Law lead generation website into a serious income stream, targeting $10K–$15K per month. I’ll be documenting each step, including traffic growth, monetization strategies, and any wins or mistakes I make along the way.
A while back, I came across a domain that had been around since 2007 with a rich history in the military law niche. The site used to feature reference pages for various laws and, over the years, built hundreds of high-quality backlinks from major authority sites. Military laws get referenced a lot online, so the domain had a strong foundation.
I bought the domain, restored the original structure using the Wayback Machine, and relaunched the site with the same URLs to maintain SEO value.
Even with minimal effort since the relaunch, the site now pulls in 4,000–5,000 visitors per month and generates some income from display ads alongside basic lead generation. That told me there’s huge potential here if I really put in the work.
Military law is a very specialized field. From what I’ve seen, no one else is covering it comprehensively online. That gives me a strong competitive edge, especially since the domain already has a solid SEO profile. Competing with this setup won’t be easy for others, so it’s a niche I can dominate with the right content strategy.
I’ll post regular updates with traffic stats, lead numbers, monetization progress, and any experiments I run (both the wins and the flops). My hope is that this follow-along will be both motivating and educational for anyone thinking of building a specialized lead generation business.
Let’s see if we can take this from a few thousand a month to a six-figure annual business.

How It All Started
Current Plan
- Website Redesign – I’ve hired a designer to rebuild the site in Divi for a clean, responsive, and professional look.
- Lead Generation Focus – The main monetization will be through selling leads to military civilian lawyers.
- Pay-Per-Call Offers – Alongside form submissions, I’ll implement pay-per-call campaigns to capture high-intent leads.
- Traffic Growth – I plan to increase organic traffic through consistent SEO content and also explore other channels like YouTube.
- Email List Building – Over time, I’ll create an email list for nurturing leads and promoting relevant legal services.
Why This Niche?
Military law is a very specialized field. From what I’ve seen, no one else is covering it comprehensively online. That gives me a strong competitive edge, especially since the domain already has a solid SEO profile. Competing with this setup won’t be easy for others, so it’s a niche I can dominate with the right content strategy.
Content & Marketing Strategy
- SEO-Driven Articles – I’ll write targeted posts about military laws, legal cases, and trending military-related topics. For example, if a new movie or TV show touches on military legal issues (like Purple Hearts on Netflix), I can create timely content that attracts both general interest and legal queries.
- Video Marketing – YouTube will play a role, mainly for informative, brand-building videos that position the site as a trusted source.
- Community Engagement – I’ll look into participating in relevant forums, Q&A sites, and online communities where military personnel or their families seek legal guidance.
- Content Marketing for Trust – Consistency will be key. The more high-quality, relevant content I publish, the more I can position the brand as the go-to authority in the space.
Monetization Goals
- Short-Term:
- Get the redesigned site live.
- Increase lead form submissions and test pay-per-call conversions.
- Reach $1,000/month within the first growth phase.
- Long-Term:
- Hit $10K–$15K/month by scaling traffic, expanding lead buyers, and adding multiple revenue streams (display ads, sponsorships, email marketing).
Why I’m Confident
- The domain already ranks for multiple relevant keywords.
- There’s a large pool of potential legal leads in this niche with high lifetime value for lawyers.
- Few competitors are producing consistent, quality content.
- The backlink profile is strong enough to make ranking new content much faster than starting from scratch.
I’ll post regular updates with traffic stats, lead numbers, monetization progress, and any experiments I run (both the wins and the flops). My hope is that this follow-along will be both motivating and educational for anyone thinking of building a specialized lead generation business.
